1. Why are we Here?
The Bible, Gods guide for us, explains that He made everything. “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.” This is the first sentence in His Word to us.
The Bible, Gods guide for us, explains that He made everything. “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.” This is the first sentence in His Word to us.
Before the first man and woman, God created a very special angel, named Lucifer. Lucifer rebelled against God and He cast him out of Heaven.
The Bible writes “…God created man in his own image… male and female created he them.” The first man and woman were created perfect having peace, love and joy with God and with each other. They had freedom to love and obey God, but they were also free to disobey God, knowing the result would be death and judgment. Lucifer tempted them and they disobeyed God.
As soon as the first man and woman sinned, God said He would send a Saviour to provide a way back to Him. God gave over 300 prophecies to help recognize the Savior. Then He gave us His Laws ,the Ten Commandments, so we would know we need a Saviour.
God loves us so much that He, Himself came to save us! The Bible writes that Jesus lived a sinless life and did many miracles to prove He is God. Jesus spoke to a man thathad died, “…Lazarus, come forth…and He that was dead came forth.”
God is perfectly good and completely holy. His nature requires justice therefore only someone without sin could pay for the sins of every person.
The Bible says, “Christ died for our sins… He was buried…and He rose again the third day…” proving He has power over death and can give life.
The Bible says we are “...saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works...” No church, or religion, or good works or religious works can save us. Only Jesus gave His life for us, in our place, and only He can save us.
God offers mercy through Jesus Christ before the Day of Judgement. We are guilty sinners. But the penalty has been paid. That means that God offers you a pardon and He can legally dismiss the charges against you if you surrender your life to Him and trust Jesus Christ alone to save you.
The Bible, God’s Spiritual Map, was written that we “…might havelife through His name.” The Bible says, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” You must ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins, give your life to Him and trust Him alone to save you. Then God promises you real life now and perfect peace, love, and joy with Him forever. Would you give your life to Him today? Would you make this decision now and give your life to Jesus Christ If so, here is a suggested prayer; but it must be words that come from your sincere desire to make this decision…this is between you and God. If you choose to trust and believe, then pray...
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for all my sins because of your love for me. I believe you rose alive from the grave. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I now choose to trust only you with my life. I surrender my life to you. I accept the promise of eternal life with you. Thank you for forgiving all my sins forever. Help me now as I belong to you. Thank you for answering my prayer of faith in you.
